Due to increasingly warm winters the thickness of ice needed for a natural rink is becoming harder to reach. Due to the structure of the existing rinks formed over soil, we need four inches of ice to open to the public. This is a much greater amount than the two inches needed on a concrete pad. By installing a refrigerated concrete pad, we believe we can guarantee at least three months opening per annum and future proof this community asset for decades to come.



Work on the project has progressed throughout 2022, 2023 & 2024. While we've broken the back of our funding requirement for the rink, we need your help to fund the new bridge that will be installed during 2024. Please consider making a donation.
